Our story

We started in Cairo in 2008 as a supplier of measurement and control equipment. Our engineers learned the water sector meter by meter — in utilities, gas stations, laboratories and factories — and grew into a contractor that builds complete systems.

Today our focus is agriculture and irrigation: drip irrigation, solar pumping, wells and desalination for farms and development programmes, while we continue to supply metering and leak detection to utilities and industry.

We are building our own factory for drip lines and irrigation fittings in Qift, Qena, and assemble C.R.I. pumping units in Egypt — so more of what we install is made close to where it is used.

Since we founded Sun Egypt Group in 2008 we have held one belief: water management does not begin at the pump — it begins at the meter. What cannot be measured cannot be controlled or conserved.

Over eighteen years we specialised in fluid measurement and control, and from that core expanded into potable water plants, wastewater treatment, intermediate mixing stations, natural gas pressure-reduction stations and modern irrigation — in Egypt and in the Republic of Chad.

Our global partners provide proven technology; our Egyptian engineering team brings a real understanding of local operating conditions. That combination is what we offer our clients.
