Contracts, projects and milestones from Sun Egypt Group.
Sun Egypt Group has been awarded a new irrigation contract by the Italian Agency for Development Cooperation (AICS).
The award follows the company’s drip irrigation work for FAO in Assiut and Sohag and its solar-powered irrigation project for ICARDA in Minya.
Project details
Construction has started on Sun Egypt Group’s factory on a 5,411 m² plot in the Qift Industrial Zone, Qena, allocated by the Industrial Development Authority.
The factory is licensed to produce drip irrigation lines and irrigation fittings, bringing production closer to the projects we build in Upper Egypt.
Project details
Works are under way on a solar-powered improved on-farm irrigation system for 53 feddans in Abyuha, Abu Qurqas, Minya, for the International Center for Agricultural Research in the Dry Areas (ICARDA).
The scope covers pumping, solar power and on-farm conveyance that reduces water losses for smallholder farmers.
